Pro's / con's. Seems to be a cheaper way out with gutters. |

never thought about it before i had my boat built but now i have gutter that catch all the shit and let it go to the back of the boat under the boxes where i cant get to... not cool when ya headed to the blind and all the mullet decide they wanna take a ride with ya... that smells nice after a few days sitting.... now i hit the gutters with a long hosed shop vac thatll reach under the boxes every few trips or whenever it starts stinkin.. but if i ever get another boat the floors goin to the sides!!! |

I prefer the gutters, keeps from having any standing water on the floor. |

What are you trying to gain by not having gutters? I had thought that a chair leg might fall of the edge of the floor into the gutter and cause someone to hit the deck. My boat is almost ready and has gutters. If I don't like them, I plan to cover them with expanded aluminum. Would allow water and most debris to flow through, but still provide flooring all the way to the edge. Another way to do that would be to have a full floor but drill rows of 1/4" holes on the part over the "gutters". Of course hydroturf would extend only to the edge of the gutter. |

I've had both and both work great. I prefer the full floor but you gotta install drains to keep from having standing water like Owen mentioned. If you have the full floor and you do get water in the bottom of your boat I find that less of your stuff gets wet with the full floor since the water would have to get pretty deep to come over the full floor. With gutters anything that slides into the gutter will get wet ie: shell bag, gun case, jacket etc. |

I like the gutters. I keep marsh anchors, arrow holder, machete, and push poles out of the way. It also keeps trash off the walking floor |

Gutters suck I hate them. Put a sealed double bottom and be done with it. |
