Post what size motor?
Well since my exwife took my duck rig I am having to start from scratch. I.have acquired a boat its a 1436 riveted and was very very light-weight. I have welded some on the transom (not very pretty but first time welding aluminum) and added some weight to the front with a deck. Speed is not a big ordeal but I would like to get as much as possible. What size longtail/surface drive can I get away with?

I bet a 23hp copperhead or dixie would make that sucker scoot. I'm not sure on the weight, though. Maybe the 18 would be better for the boat.

btw, I like what you did with your sig.

Thanks thought it was more appropriate. Thanks for info too! Btw my budget right now is small so I may have to get a longtail for the season.
