They're both good boats, but the GT will be lighter because it's shorter and doesn't have all the boxes. Overall, not that much difference. What are the ages/hrs. on the motors? The MB will be stronger with all the internals done, and it has a clutch, but I'm not sure why the price difference is so high. |

45 mb is not 45 horse power. Nor is there really any internals modded |

Internals are modded on the 45, rods, pistons, cam, roller rockers |

Find where it says that because I never could. Not saying you are wrong by with all that why are the heads not decked and the valves one piece stainless |

You're Probably gonna wants mods in the near future anyway and the clutch and trim are very nice compared to the GD. If you can afford it go ahead and spend the $ upfront. My .02$ |

Get the bigger boat and take some of the $7k and mod the motor with custom heads, you won't have a neutral but you'd have more boat and a more reliable motor for less in the end. |

yeah these are brand new now the 45 is a mag is what the dealer told me sent pics it has bps exhaust on it!! But i am tired of people having to sit on a cooler i would think for 19k you would get some storage but not so guys i am leaning towards the gd boat with the 35sd customized poleing platform and all i dont run too shallow here and i like to fish as well so maybe i can just slap a warn winch on the fron for the sticky spots |

For 19k Boat, Motor, and alum trailer you pick what you want in the custom world. |

Nope. That's not what my last post was intended for. C'mon DDB....stay with me here. I am just saying that I seen results somewhere that the 45 MAG dyno'd at 45.5, the 55 BAMF was around 52, and the 7000 was around 54. Just being devil's advocate here. |

So 4600 Rpms without valve spring shims. Hmmm |

Post subject: | Re: buying a boat which one would you get |
The springs are shimmed. They replace the exhaust valve because they like to break. Al likes to replace just the exhaust valve as well. That's who designed the 45 for BPS. |

I have heads off o a 45- not shimmed |

Post subject: | Re: buying a boat which one would you get |
Who built the 45? The springs on the 45 should be shimmed. It's built to turn 45-4600, and I know when Al put them together they had springs shimmed and a ss exhaust valve. |

Why did you buy heads from a 45 anyway? |

I have the stainless exhaust valve but not shimmed springs. Came with roller rockers Cracked a head between intake and spark plug |
