Does anyone have any reviews on the sea ark 17 x 48 mud runner. They are.125 gauge aluminum. They weigh about 490 lbs. bare hull. Looks like a decent rig, jus would like to get some opinions from a few guys that have been around them. |

Found this wrote up on it from a dealer. Boat was a 1748 We hung a brand new 4500 black death on one of the mud runners today and it ran 28 mph with 2 people in the boat and a little chop on the water. Seemed to have a lot of torque and I don't think a load would slow that setup down too much if at all. It handles good and was comfortable to drive. We also ran this boat with a brand new 35 MBHD and it ran 24 mph with 2 people. We also ran it with a 35 MBHD that had been used for a while and had been broken in good and it ran 26 with 2 people. I thought it was interesting that the older motor ran faster. With one person, and an empty boat, it porpoised pretty bad but a 17 foot excel porpoised just as much. With 2 people in the boat it was a smooth ride! |

Looked at the excel boats as well... LOOKED like a nice rig, but the reviews on here were enough to turn me away from them... |

i'm running that hull right now, only complaint i have is the bottom. i been runnin stumps this season a lot ond it dont look like is going to hold up. the faulse transom is going to be a problem. the dents havent really hurt the performance yet but i guess time will tell. i run it hard. it porpuses too but only when im running alone with no gear. after that i like the boat. |

A buddy of mine has one with a 35gtr with carb only, he is getting 30.5mph with two people. we had 4 guys opening morning, 250lb,190lb,240lb,160lb i would guess, plus gear dekes etc. and were getting 26-27mph. Not my boat but i can tell you, its one smooth riding boat! |

^^^^i have beeen wandering how they do with a gtr. pretty comfortable to drive with a gtr? do you have enough room to stand up and run or are you having to reach back for the tiller. my battery is in the back. just curious, may be going to the dark side after season. |

Hey guys i'm Duckedup's buddy! I have plenty of room with my GTR and it never porpoises. I run on average about 28.5 MPH but i have noticed that it runs better with 2 people than it does with 1. duckedup and i have hit 31mph in deep water with a slight chop. I love this boat its built like a tank i have hit stumps jumped trees and logs with no issue, It is an awesome boat. i have the timber runner package, Lights, bilge and a Odyssey battery. If you know batteries Odyssey are one of the best and are no joke but they aint light. Im 260 lbs so when i run with a full load it serious weight. opening morning we had close to 1000lbs with people and gear running 26ish to me thats pretty good. This is my first mud boat set up so i have nothing to compare it to. SeaArk does make a MudRunner 180 its 18 feet and i believe it 54 wide. Either way its an awesome boat and im always excited to run it. it turns pretty good but does slide. I have grown up running all kinds of boats and just like any boat in sharp corners you have to set it but it handles awesome. |

I looked at them real hard, but I decided to go with the GT 17x54 , 35 GTR. I am very impressed with it.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1354280534.718290.jpg |
