As much as I would like a GT boat there are none to be found in east Florida, but I am looking at the new Sea Ark 180 mud boat with a GTR 35 on the back. Boat looks real nice and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them. Bank visit is tomorrow and its a lot of money to get it wrong.

Try Millers Boating Center in Ocala... They had 2 Gt boats at the first of the month- not sure if they still do or not though...

Out the door boat, motor, and trailer 18k. I have been reading other post this am and people mentioned a false transom and to be honest I am not sure what that means this will be my first aluminum hull and mud motor. I fish the salt a lot and always ran fiberglass and outboards.

I wouldn't settle for 18K . Get a boat built, there are several builders on this forum. I don't know that I would go with SeaArk for a mud boat. I would look at companies that build nothing but mud boats. Good luck.

Okay just sent the info to get a quote from GT with what I want. Without tax price tag that I came up with is around 16k. So if it save me 2k or I can have it shipped for 500. I will do that seems like everyone on here loves their boats and you would know better than I would.

What size would you get? Most of the time I will hunt 2 and maybe 3 max, but I do have a wife and 2 kids that would want to go out. Not to go in the thick, but maybe to the islands here in FL to go camping or fishing. I was thinking 1754.

Make it a vacation......go stay in nola for a couple days before picking it up or find a place on the bayou to rent and pick up the boat and hang out running the boat...you don't have to just go pick up the boat.

Please reconsider your decision. Get option #5 from gator tail and pay the driver to deliver it to you. Meet him ½ way.

I went with a custom builder because a have another boat & the luxury of time on my side. You can’t beat the GT package deals if you want it now.

As far as size, I went with Bubba said was their best all around and or most popular boat and that was the 1754...

I ordered a 1854 GTB extreme with the 35 GTR. I will be making a road trip next month to pick it up.

Okay, so is reverse worth $700-$800 more? Also I was looking at their package deals and they have a 1646 with the 25 on it 12k. My wife really likes that price range. Will that push 3 hunters or do I spend 3.5 k more for the 1756. I really want to go shallow and lots of backwater stuff

Duck hunting and fishing maybe take it camping every now and then. Not really into just taking it out to play in the mud. I can see getting stuck being a problem without reverse

My current POS boat is a direct drive Dixie MM (No clutch). Great little setup but a train wreck to work. I mostly hunt alone during the week and friends on the weekends. Always working the oars. Total pain in the ass.

Go for the 1754 GTR package. You will not regret it.

I'd say roll with package #4 and go pick that sucker up, or pay for shipping. You will be cheaper than the sea ark, and have a way better boat. It's a no brainer, and so is reverse.

Yeah package 4 is what I'm thinking looks good for price. Went to the bank and was advised to wait until we are done refinancing the house. Few more weeks and I should have it. Thanks for all your help and will post pictures when it is in my driveway.
