if so, what hp and how's it working out for you ?
I was thinking about running a 45 hp tiller on it this weekend and I was curious if it was worth the time. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I ran a 1972 50hp Johnson and then a 50hp Tohatsu TLDI on a GD 1644. The boat ran great, but you will need trim tabs or have someone sit all the way up front or it will porpoise.

ran it this weekend and loaded down it was hitting nearly 30 mph...pretty satisfied...still got some tweaking to do...the boat wanted to steer left on it's own, thus requiring force on the tiller to keep it straight ...I believe adjusting the directional skeg should fix that.
