A buddy of mine has broken 2 belts on his Dixie 35 while going hunting in the past three weeks. He bought the motor with 16 hours. The guy he bought it from did not tell him that it broke 3 belts while he had it. We figured out the problem while at my camp in MS. The motor needed to be raised on the back side just a bit. The to pulleys were not aligned. The top pulley where the drive shaft is was tilted down on the side were the clutch was which was making the belt eventually slide down and rub the clutch. Once we shimmed the back off the motor up we have our problem fixed for the time being. The motor still has warranty it is a 2012. |

I got the 23 dixie. Get the gates belt on ebay ($ 40). They are better than the panther belts. Also check for wobble on the lower pulley. I had to reset mine. Dixie is so easy to work on. Make sure your belt cover is sealed 100% good luck. |

I believe the problem is fixed. It's going to have to have a new clutch soon though. |
