Just bought a excel shallow water basic 1645 and looking for advice wether to get a 23, 27 or 35 mudbuddy. I do hunt by my self 70% of the time or so. I do occasionally hunt with one other guy but never 3. So basicly im looking to make it plain out with 2 guys a dog and about 3 dozen deeks. I plan on getting a mini to save alot of weight. So i would like to hear from someone who has the same boat and similar motors. Thanks.

Not sure if any of this will help, but Excels have been discusses here a time or two. There might be one or two useful bits of information somewhere in the links below, it'll at least give you an idea of what you have...

If you can afford the 35 go with it and not regret it later.

Ok I see on the mud buddy website that the 35 is like 6000 or close to that. What kind of price can i expect from a dealer. Im guessing its more but how much more.???

So what about a gator tail 25 with the subaru EFI. How would this run on this boat. Im guessing it has to be better than a MB 27.???

go with a gatortail 35 or prodrive 36

That prob wouldn't be a bad little combo. From the reviews I've seen on here from the 25s so far
