This is a flat bottom boat (not smooth) with a mod front,I bought a bare hull and put in a floor ,fishing deck and gun boxs. I beefed up the transom and installed a cmc power trim unit, i have a trim switch at the rear and on the grab bar (its sweet). The boat weighs 450 lbs bare weight .The 27 mini weighs 208. I have a 9 gal tank up under the deck and the battery is in the center bench. With two average size guys and a cooler it will run a steady 21.8 in deep water. Its a great all around rig .There is one thing I dont like about the mini, and that is the turn radius , is will only cut about 45 degrees to the transome where as the GD i had would cut right up to the transom.the motor would no doubt perform better on a mud hull ,but cost vs performance....... Well I think she will get the job done. |

Glad you herd it from the horses mouth. I was just trying to keep you from gettin a ticket. If you turn the lights around you will be fine. |

Is this a semi - v style boat. I know you mention is is flat... I was under the impression that you couldn't run a surface drive with a semi-v? I've got an Xpress DB VX15 with a tiller but would like to switch to a surface drive... |

I really like that boat, I would love to have one with a 40 or 50 hp tiller outboard on it for runnin the river here where a mud motor is not needed. |
