ive got a 16 54 express with a 36 prodrive, thats stock, doing 24 mph with 2 people and a full load, and about 29 with just me, whats the best way to pick up a few miles per hour mods wise? im planning on doing carb and exhaust and curious how many miles an hour im gonna gain from the combination of the 2? |

Just go with a stage one. U going to pick up speed an have plenty of bottom end to carry heavy loads |

Don't know a whole bunch about prodirves but from what I know about mods ....one compliments the other ,and the top speed won't increase as much as your loaded down speed will.....with a load is where u really see where all your money went ![]() A mikuni ontop of stage1 really wakes it all up! |

29 is a good solo speed. since your boat is 16' it will not carry a load like an 18'. Just something else to think about. |

To the OP: A stage 1 kit would work great for you. With a stage 1 you can expect to run the same speeds loaded that you previously ran empty. |

Haha I just picked the whole rig up the other day for 6500 bucks with 56 hours on the motor... Probaly just keep it for now then a few years on down the road find a different boat!! Only thing i don't like is that the boat has ribs running down the bottom and I run a ton of stumps, kinda annoying but it works. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364246359.022534.jpg |

One last thing, I was turning 3750 Rpms in the water with just me and a almost brand new prop, I adjusted the governor up to 4200 and runs 26 with 2 people and a load big difference |

Sweet! your going to like the reverse, it will open up a lot more areas to run with out having to thinking twice about it. |

Yea I'm enjoying it alot, I know it's not a true mud hull, which most of yall have, but it's good for me! I hunt shallow Lillies with lots of stump fields |

Yea I couldn't pass it up.. The boats pretty nice too, it's older, but does the job, had a open floor plan with boxes on both sides in the rear with a front deck and gun box! |
