I have a 14x42 southfork that i plan on fishing an gigging in South Alabama. I have a 35 evinrude on it. Iam building a deck an plan on putting a trolling motor on it also. I have looked at motors before but now iam ready to order. This is a 14x42 southfork . I will be in open water to shallow water. Hoping to make this an all around rig. Hunting to fishing with another person at times. I really want a surface drive an asking yall what size motor would be best for what i have an plan on doing. Thanx

I see that 16ft an up is what alot of yall have. But the 14ft is all i have to work with. I've called a few companies an had no idea how backed up they are.

Sometimes we gotta work with what we have. If you don't need power trim or reverse, check out the Copperhead 18. Those are cool motors and would be good for you boat.

If you want reverse and power trim, check out the GTR25.

I would rock the Copperhead 18 if I were you.

Put a 18 in hunt deck on it and get a 25 gtr that would make your boat 15.5 foot and will perform alot better with any motor

I don't ask my wife for shit. We have seperate checking accounts for that reason, if she wants something and she has the money, get it, works both ways and everybody's happy.
