Post 36 ProDrive on 1846 GTB
I have just recently bought a 36hp stage 2 ProDrive and I have a 1846 GTB on the way. I have heard from a couple people that there is someone on MMT that has a ProDrive and GTB setup as well. Does anyone know who this might be? I am trying to get with him to find out his thoughts and get some performance numbers on the setup. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Did you order the boat directly from GT? If so, did you get it with the correct transom angle?

And the same transom height on both the motor and boat...

I know the transom height is the same but I do not know about the angle. I did not know that it would be any different. And it is not a new boat it is a used boat

Just get an angle finder and some thin plate as shims. GTB should be about 20 degrees, but the Pro Drive runs best at a 16 degree angle. Just shim it a little to get the angle right. You should be OK on the height also if they're both tall transom.

The cutback transom will help you a lot in reverse as well. Just don't stick your finger I'm the drain plug hole while reversing. You may lose a finger like BayouBoy!
