Just bought the boat November 2012. Never got in it alone yet. The other night I had 4 people 800lbs of weight between us and was running 22-23mph according to my buddies gps. First time owner of a surface drive. How do ya'll think its performing? Anyone else have the same hull with the same motor or different motor and if so how does it perform? So far I'm loving it.

Sounds pretty decent for 4 people on a stock motor

I was thinking the same. During the duck season with the blind 3 people and gear was averaging the same speed. I didnt think it was to bad myself. I'm happy with it. Thanks for the response.

Gets on plane pretty good. The gator trax has a rounded chime. KP said that hull is not a speed hull like the flat bottoms but turns on a dime. My cousin has the same motor on 18ft flat bottom made by prodrive. We were in a narrow cut on plane and he was having trouble making some of the turns due to sliding while I was cutting them with no problem. Every motor and boat has its own advange and disadvantage. Its all in what people want. I have to say got stuck in the same spot next to a GTR bout 3in water and thick lillies and got out before him. Love the FPR. He would not let me help him out the hole. Guess it was a pride thing or something.
