20X54 boat
35 GTR (stage 2)
3/16" Bottom
1/8" Sides
24" Sides
Catwalks
5 1/2' Front Deck
16" Hunt Deck
Front and back spud holes
Terra 4500lb winch
Square Chine
Shark Eye Navigation Lights
2 bazooka 8 inch speakers
Jenson water proof radio
200 watt amp
Schumacher 3 banks batter charger
2 AGM batteries
Lowrance Elite 7- HDI depth finder and nav.
Led lights under cat walks and in each hatch
Camo Hydro Turf
Gator Glide
Trolling Motor
2- 8 inch HID spot lights

This boat is a barge but that is what I wanted. I have only ran it a couple of times now that everything has been fixed. I was getting 26 mph into white caps yesterday on the lake. I have found the sweet spot and it runs pretty good. The 26 mph was with 3/4 tank of gas a yeti cooler full of water and me driving into the wind. I am ready to get into some smooth shallow water and mud and see how she performs. The Gator Glide is pretty sweet but makes it hard to load and unload your boat by yourself. Once you do it a couple of times its no big deal. I would recommend the Gator Glide to anyone who is thinking about it. I am sorry if the pictures are not up right I don't know how to fix them.

I think Caddoz has a 20x54 with a stage 2 GTR, it seemed to run fine when I saw him at caddo.

I did think about putting two motors but I did not want the extra weight in the back with the hard bottoms I run. It is going to have a stage 2. I was only going to go with the 18 foot boat but ran a another boat the same size with a stage 2 and it ran just fine. I have read many different reviews and did my research and can not see why everyone says it will not have enough motor. From my understanding there is not much weight difference in a 18x60 and a 20x54. There are plenty of guys on here that run a 1860 and do just fine.

We built this boat and it is nearly identical to another we built and with Hoyt stage 2 GTR it was pushing 30+ which is the same motor going on this one.

Duals are not practical up here unless you are someone who has to have a larger heavy boat

Mine will be dialed in and I got the high rev coils. I just hope I can get 27-28 out of it.

Yea I'm sure it is but just going to check and make sure. I'm ready to come home and put some time on that boat. I think I'm going to get willett to drop one of the catwalks down to the floor (enclose it) for a gun/rod box. And rig it for bowfishing paint and turf and gator glide and call it done

Got the Gator Glide on. Now I just have to wait on the drying time. Once this is done I will rig out the boat and get a formal review on the whole set up. It is coming together fast.

Post subject:  Re: 20x54 custom

here are a few updated pictures. I am still waiting on my lean to seat and hydro turf. I am sorry if the pictures are not right side up I don't know how to rotate them. I ran the boat yesterday but I believe the float is sticking in the carb. I should have this fixed today and then I will be able to give a formal review.

Were there any performance issues with the carb? Or did you just have fuel coming out of the overflow hose?

Post subject:  Re: 20x54 custom

don't think anything is wrong with the carb other then the overflow. I wont really know until I run it again. With the float being stuck in the carb then I am sure it was causing a performance issue because it was not getting the correct air-gas mixture. I hope to run it again today.
