I talked to the guy. He said they sent it to him with some new type transom mount, a double reinforced tiller and extra caulking for the lower unit. They told him he no longer needed the decorative orange straps but keep them there just in case. He said he took it out on Bateman Island and claimed he was getting 37 mph in the river. Said he flat out tore up the mud and promised me it would run circles around any GTR out there. |

I showed him the picture. He laughed and said that was just before he went across the bridge heading to the Berwick boat launch (Jessie Fontenot Launch). |

I don't understand what Caulking and a Marine Lower Unit has in common? Is the caulk to fill any cracks in the casting? |

No, he has to use that special marine grade caulking when he changes the LU oil. Sent using Morse Code from my not so smart phone. |
