MM Brand: 2010 Go Devil SD Horsepower: 27 Kohler/Stock Boat Brand: 2010 Go Devil SD Boat Size: 1648 Boat Layout: Full Bench/Storage Speeds | Shallow Water: Me (230 lbs) 6 gallons of gas 26-27 mph @ 3880. Me and a buddy (190 lbs) 6 gallon of gas 25 mph @ 3750. 2 Guys and full hunting load (4 dozen deks, guns, shells, 6 gallon of gas) 23 mph @ 3650. Speeds | Deep Water: Me and gas 25 mph. Me a buddy and gas 23-24 mph. 2 guys and full hunting load 22 mph. Conditions Tested In: North wind 10-15 (speeds varied by 1 mph against the wind and with the wind) Comments: I bought this boat back in November. After getting through one duck season and learning about the boat I feel I can now give a decent review. This is my first mud rig and I love it. If I could change anything about the boat I would have the split bench. Also storage under the front deck would be nice. I plan on giving the boat a good camo paint job and Gator Glide next month. I'm also going to go with the Sears "hydro turf" on the floors and front deck. I'm pretty impressed with the little 27 hp Kohler. It has 70 hrs on it and has not missed a beat. Not a speed demon but it works for me. Me and a buddy rode 63 miles and burned less than 6 gallons of gas. I'm not sure if this is the average, but I thought it was pretty good. I plan on leaving the motor stock until stuff starts breaking, then I may soup it up a little, or maybe just put a 35 hp on it. Thats all for now. I'll start a thread on my progress as I paint and GG the boat. |

Those Kohler engines are reliable. They do not have good top in speed but you make up for it in longevity. I would keep that 27 for a long time if I were you. |

Go devil is actually going to take a price increase in April. I'm interested to see how much and if they make any changes with it |
