The Boat is a 2013 model from Backwoods Landing. Decked floor with 2 storage boxes in the stern. The Go Devil was a project. It was an older crawfish model 58" shaft with a POS 11 hp Honda 2:1 reduction. It had clearly been in the drink so I replaced it with a brand new GX 390 13 hp 2:1 reduction. Had Airboats Unlimited (Paul Dixon) change all the bushings, shaft, prop assembly and add a pressure lubricator. Basically he modernized the late 90's rig. Ran it Sunday on the Flint River. 12mph upstream with 2 adults and 2 children plus fishing gear. Ran 15 bumping 16 mph with just me and the gear/cooler. Hats off to Paul for the awesome rebuild job! Could not be happier. Perfect duck/fishing rig for our river. |

Yes it ran on plane. Had to get the weight right with a load though. By myself it jumped up and ran on step with out thinking twice That picture is at the boat ramp at Joe Kurz WMA |
