 1848 with 35 GTR
MM Brand: Gatortail with reverse Horsepower: 35 hp Boat Brand: home made. 16" huntdeck, 3" catwalks all 1/8th except tansom/ hd. 4' extended deck. Boat Size: 18' long 48" wide on the bottom with a 64 1/2" beam Boat Layout: open layout
Speeds | Shallow Water: N/A Speeds | Deep Water: 26-30 Total Boat Load With Gear Etc: me 190 and wife about 140. 2 batterys, life jackets, tool box, 3 gallons of gas. Conditions Tested In: ran in in the bayou against the current and with the current. Light wind 5-10mph.
Comments: me and my wife against current it was 26 and holding. With current down stream held 28 bumped 29 once. Just me against current held 29, with current held 30 and hit 31 for a split second so im not gonna say it will do 31. Overall pleased with the boat, it sits damn good in the water and jumps onto plane quick. Turns pretty good, i was worried about it sliding but thats not the case. I will try and get it in some shallow water within the next few weeks. Gonna concentrate on rigging and paint for now.
Everyone here has been a big help, and for that i appreciate it very much. The motor was a no brainer for me, big block with instant reverse. Its my second one and im going to stick with it because of personal preference.

 Re: 1848 with 35 GTR
Once you rig it up and move fuel tank to front she ought to level out better and you might expect a little more speed, too. Good job on the build.

 Re: 1848 with 35 GTR
Very good build on the boat and it looks good on the water. slide the gas tank to front and she will level out and should gain some speed.
