MM Brand:36 PD stage 1
Horsepower: 40-50
Boat Brand:Phowler
Boat Size:1848

Speeds | Shallow Water: 33.4mph 4500rpm
Speeds | Deep Water:33mph 4500rpm

Thought I would post a review on the old v bow boat Willet had so many problems with. PW let me borrow it while my new rig was being built.

I removed the hydro turf (thats a biatch) and cut out all the old c channel. Then pressed the floor back flat with a steel tube and bottle jack and welded 2x2 3/16" tube on top the ribs to hold it.

With no floor, no seats, no boxes, two gallons of gas, a small lawn mower battery, and my arse in the boat I got 33mph. Water depth didn't really make any noticeable difference on the speed.

After i put the floor and two boxes back in it would still get a little over 30. I used the hell out of it commercial fishing scouting for asian carp and setting gill nets. I was really impressed I could put 1500 yards of net and two guys on step. It wasn't very fast, but it did it.

After 80 hours of abuse, the floor is still flat and boat still performs good. Overall I like the way the boat planes and handles, I just don't really care for the way it looks!!!

Heres a few pics of the fix.
