18x46 flat-35GTR CDI, Bought boat used and was getting 25mph,3800 rpms with 2 onboard, stock prop, stock engine tiller steer. Added side console remote steer, No change in performance.
Now BPS kit - heads, mikuni carb, BPS Q muffler, installed myself. Now 29-30 mph 4300 rpms(having to reduce the throttle to stay off Rev limiter), this is using 2 different props. 1 is marked MB 12.25x10 2 blade, 1 is marked MB 12.3x9 3 blade. Seems that the 3 blade has little pep and more bow lift and less vibration. Haven't a 1 person run
, she gets a little squirrelly and likes to slide in the turns. BTW all this is in deep water.Next might be some higher rev coils?
