Just going to do a quick preliminary write up. I took my boat out on Saturday for the first time. The load was trolling motor, two group 29 deep cycles group 24 starting battery, my girlfriend, my dog and I. I was running with the pin in the third from bottom hole, and my three blade prop. Can't say I looked at the tach a whole lot, but I know I was running just over 4000 rpms in shallow water most of the time. This is the first surface drive I have owned so I'm sure I've got some learning. My top speed was 28+ with cruising at 20 or so quite comfortably. Everyone talks about how much a smooth bottom, square chine slides, but unless I was making a super tight turn without letting off the throttle, it was a non-issue altogether. (I can see the issue being more apparent on a wider hull) I LOVE the instant reverse, it is great! The EFI motor is awesome, the throttle response is great, and the torque of the big block is great! I am very happy with everything about this boat. I may order a two blade prop and see how I like it. (I ordered a spare with the boat and never thought to ask for a two blade) Specs: -1848 GTB -Gatortail installed accessory pkg b -Diamond cut (b stock) hydro turf throughout -Minn Kota V2 50lb w/riptide ipilot add on (apparently you can get a great deal on ipilot up here in WI when a local dealer accidentally orders riptide add on instead of power drive!!) -2 group 29 batteries mounted under casting deck w/ 6 gallon fuel tank. - Amazon 12" 72wt LED light bar -Humminbird Helix 5 sonar/GPS combo mounted on gunnel (may build small grab bar console) transducer mounted on RAM kayak mount. -37 GTR EFI -18 ft McClain galvanized trailer I still have yet to mount my promar 10 amp 2 bank onboard charger and order my gator glide. Hit 31mph at 4250 rpms with just me in the boat today. I would still say my "normal" top speed is 29. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Expected numbers. That GPS you've got on there looks pretty nice. |

thanks for the review! Bad ass rig ya got there. I swear those RAM mount transducer brackets are the best thing since sliced bread. I would have destroyed atleast 3 transducers by now if I didn't have one. |

Guess not. Unless it's only on the extreme? I didn't think to look when I picked it up. |

It's bright enough in that spot that I can rotate it and see from the casting deck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just an update on my review now that I've hunted out of it for 6 days straight. Loaded with me (180), two buddies (250 & 240), dog (55) and all our hunting gear with a beaver tail blind with 35/40# of grass on it still with trolling motor and all the batteries it runs 27 shallow and 25/26 deep. I was very impressed with these numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Teal season hasn't been great, but I got out and at least broke the boat in for hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
