Post Repowered review on 35 HD Sport on 1760 Lowe Roughneck
I snagged a brand new set of heads and intake from Will C for my off season build for my first MOD to the old MB.

First off - CS with Will C was top notch - highly recommend.
They arrived in good order and well packed

He gave handwritten instructions for install and his personal contact for troubleshooting. I called a few times.

I got them on relatively problem free - and had to take them on the water prior to ice lockout just try them out.

3 men and a ton of gear kept us running solid at 25mph - the boat pulled like a train. This load would normally have me in the high teens - but you could see better throttle response (thanks to some stock carb tweaking) and it ran very smooth. Rpms increased and load carrying was great. Big gains from heads.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago.

Mikuni, intake adaptor, and old style BPS X over arrives and is immediately installed.

On a very windy day (25mph steady) I saw new speeds:

Into the wind: 27.9-28.5 mph solo with the dog

Wind at my back: held 29.7 and touched 30.1 for about 20 seconds.

Two days later, put 3 of us in the boat for some fishing in identical conditions:
26.8 into the wind
28 wind at our back

Load carrying is amazing, throttle response is instant, pulls crazy hard, jumps on step in half the time, performs like a different motor....

Spinning 4100-4300 rpm with a brand new big blade.

That's a pretty impressive increase from what it was bone stock.

I really like how this engine performs. Big thanks to Will C for his help, and to the lad that got me a screaming deal on the mikuni and ugly as sin exhaust.

Glad you got it lined out and your ice thawed out. Sounds like its running good for that weight boat. If you ever need anything just holler
