 what motor for a 1644 weldbuilt
im new here and i have tried the search function and i cant find anythnig close to the answer im looking for...maybe im retarded. im positive that this has been asked a million times. What hp surface drive would go good on my 16x44 weldbuilt. i hunt in the marsh and have a soft bottom. thanks

I run a 27hp PD on a 16x48 weldbuilt and with a two men and hunting stuff it does great But load it down and it struggles so if the boat will handle the weight of a big block on the back i would go that route

It will handle a 35 of your choosing. Get the extra HP.

I have a 31 mbsd on a 1648 weld built and I know it can handle a 35. Go with the horsepower!
