Post Prodigy 18/51 Boss Drive
Just got this 18/51 Prodigy 1/8 aluminum square rake and boss drive 35 modified from The Boatdoctor. Engine has voodoo exhaust, decked heads, Mikuni, and cam. First run got 30 mph in deep water with stock big blade prop. Waiting for a worked hammer prop hopefully I get better performance. 2nd run had 2 buddies in the boat all 3 of us 210 each and ran 26-27. The boss drive is awesome, F-N-R shifting is very convenient coming from a pro drive. The tiller handle is very smooth and easy to driive. Reverse is strong feels like you could sink the back end of the boat. So far I am very impressed with the performance with the stock 2 blade on a bigger hull. 30 or better with the hammer and I’ll be very happy knowing it will have great hole shot. This hull was already built when I bought it from the boat doctor and had it shipped to LA. Its pretty much loaded with all the extras like catwalks, 12 gal alum tank, WetLander bottom coating, 5 seat bases, and 78 cup holders. The hull with the rounded chimes turns great and is very stable. Love the boat so far. Will post more about how the set up does in different conditions once I get the hammer prop.

Great looking rig. I am working a similar rig now, but I think I’m going to go with an 1860. ANy updates on the prop, speeds or performance of the hull and motor?

Nice rig. Speeds sound about par, maybe a hair low. I would think around 31-32 empty.
