Went out in my new Stumpjumper today. It is a 1854 with the thick hull. I believe 3/16. It has a 40hp Gatortail with a 3 Blade prop. The Builder Mike Cassell ran it and in Deep Water with one person loaded with Fishing gear it ran 29 mph. He weighs about 180 and I weigh 260. With two of us it ran 27 in deep water. The boat handles really well but I feel it is sluggish taking off. I have ordered a Fat Blade Prop from Gatortail on their recommendation. Here is a Video |

Pm me and I can give you the specs for what I had my fat blade worked to. It runs like a top worked and carries a load exceptionally well |

I know guys on here don't like the Hill Marine props (bc a few old ones threw a blade), but check them out. I spoke with Ron Hill and he said he got that flaw worked out of the prop. Guy is well known for some super props in the non-mudmotor world. I put one on a level 2 GT and 2060 gatortrax. its a 12.75x12 tulip style 2 blade. thing rockets out of the hole and top end in absolute perfect conditions touched 33mph at 4500rpms. I carry deep water 29-30 empty all day. |
