 Probably a dumb question Can I braze (usin mapp) or JBWeld a steel cav plate onto an aluminum longtail?

Re: Probably a dumb question You might be just as well off getting a pipe repair clamp and welding the cavitation plate to that.
What kind of long tail do you have?

Re: Probably a dumb question It's a homemade aluminum one, and after a 45 min ride each way hunting this weekend I realized that a cav plate would make my life a lot easier.

Re: Probably a dumb question I have a godevil 23 longtail and I can almost let go of it running down the canal. Cav plate is the way to go..
You might be able to find a two piece shaft collar to clamp around your pipe, cav plate can be welded to that.
Is your pipe aluminum? Just find a fab shop and have a aluminum plate welded to it.
