Kill switch question
So the guy I bought my boat and motor from decided to disconnect the kill switch that is on the handle of the motor. The other day I was in a situation where having it would have been nice, so now I want to reconnect it. Can anyone tell me where the black kill switch wire hooks up to or show me pictures of theirs? The motor is a 16hp Vanguard

Re: Kill switch question
There is a terminal on the side of my motor on the right side looking from the front of the boat. The terminal is located about halfway between the handle of the fuel pump on the top of the motor. The black wire is connected to this terminal.
What kind of situtation did you get into where you needed the kill switch. I have had to use mine several times. It is usally when the motor gets hung in the mud at a 90 deg angle to the back of the boat and I cant get to the throttle without letting go of the handle. I never crank the motor without the kill wire attached.
