go Devil Question?
Hello all, I bought a used Go Devil longtail and it came with an 8 horse Briggs and stratton motor already mounted on it and a 13 horse Honda motor with electric start. I tok the 8 off to see if the Honda would bolt on and it will with a few holes drilled. My question is when I switch motors will I have to get a different prop for the 13 honda. The prop I have now is going to have to be replaced either way just curious if I need to go up a size. Also anywhere I can get a prop from, Go Devil is expensive. Thanks

Re: go Devil Question?
I have seen the props on ebay but was also wondering if I needed to adjust my prop size for the bigger motor. I think a 9x3 will work but the 8x4 is what I have now when it is new. thanks

Re: go Devil Question?
Just guessing but the original prop is 2 or three generations old - if the unit is over 10 years old - like mine....
GoDevil uses the 9x3 on a 16 hp - so it is likely to be too much for the 10 hp.... Alo the frame might not work well with the larger diameter...
However GoDevil's current 8x4 is a better prop than what they had 10 years ago...
I'd go with the GoDevil 8x4 - if it is in your budget - if not check with some prop rebuilders and just rework the old one or buy a rebuilt from the prop rebuilders

Re: go Devil Question?
Thanks for the reply. I will probably be buying the 8x4 for the 13 hp motor. I don't think that the 9x3 would fit anyhow. Thanks for the replys.

Re: go Devil Question?
Go-Devil recommends a 9x3 for a 16HP. Give them a call and thy will send you in the right direction. www. godevil.com
