im building a go devil to mainly crawfish out of but to also have a little fun with too. i have a 1436 just wondering what size engine to put on it. i been having my eye on a 13 hp but dont know if it will push it good or not. what rpms is a go devil supposed to run at? |

We used to have a 1436 with a 13hp lt. It chugged along nicely. |

the engine i am looking at turns 3600 rpms..is that workable? |

Not for sure, mine didn't have a tach, but that sounds about right. My 27 was governed around 3900, and the 35/36's are around 4200. |

I run a 23 LT on a 14/48 and it runs 20-21 @ 3400 rpm with two people and an ice chest. |

Yeah BBW, but your boat is a freak of nature as far as I am concerned. I know you only have an exhaust on it, but that thing performs like something a lot more.... That thing runs awesome. I can't believe you get the performance out of it that you do. You have done a great job with that boat. Looks great, runs great.. We did try a 24 on a 14X36 and it was not pretty. Just sunk the back of that boat couldn't even get on step with it. Had to get rid of that boat and go with something else.... |

Thanks man alot of work has gone it to that thing it's made a great starter boat. I tried to sell the whole rig awhile back and seems no one wanted it. |

What do yall think the average weight motor and frame for a 1436 is? I know there's 2 different size tails also. Can you put the longer tail on that size boat? |
