You gonna need to be more specific. Most of us down here in South LA and South Texas don't deal with snowmobiles to often. The only kind of throttle styles i know about are the lever style like Gator Tail and Go Devil or a twist style like Pro Drive. I believe you can put a trist throttle on the other brand motors, but I know someone with more knowledge will chime in. |

i put a lever on mine this weekend using a dirtbike brake lever i picked up from my local dealer where i get my parts for my bike! i havent ran it (in the water) yet, but it is nice!! it is right where grip is and not behind it, . . i have a GD LT BTW, and when i release the throttle it returns to idle by itself! i would post up a pic but my boat is at my shop and i wont be there till maybe thursday! |

Sorry not to specific. GO Devil longtail 23 briggs... you guys should really get a sled and go snowmobiling. probably give up all these silly lawn mower motors LOL but just thinking something more like a quad or snowmobile. or even a tiller where when you let off the gas goes back to idle... I know it is not neccesary but thinkin it would be nice. |

I have been thinking of the same thing... Do you have to put an entirely new cable on or just the lever??? |

Gatortail and godevil use a jetski type of throttle lever. |

i used a bicycle brake and the cable that came with it. i used a ring lug and crimped it in place, attached it with a 10-32 machine screw sorry dont have any pics of that part but do of the throttle |

Just my opinion. With the stock throttle, it easier to work the sh!t out of the motor when you are in bad stuff. With twist throttles or big brake handles, when you are rooting and swingin the motor side to side to dig out of a sticky situation, they tend to cause ya to be doin things with the throttle that ya dont wanta be doin. Stock throttle, you just set it and dig your way out. Now on long runs I think that one in the pic would be great. Guess its all in what ya want. |
