Can I run a 16x36 or a 16x42 with my 23 GD LT...I want to have the narrowest boat I can get and be safe on open water to get to the flooded timber and stumps..How will each of these boats perform…What will the differences be with a 16x38 (smallest recommended) vs the 16x36..and the 16x42 vs. the 16x48..Any help would be appreciated |

That motor should be fine on any of those hulls. A wider or longer boat will help with carrying loads. The narrower boat will be a little more tipsy, but will probably be a lil faster empty and should handle great. I wouldn't think a 1636 would be too unstable though, just not quite as stable as a wider hull. |

I have a GoDevil 16x36 with a Godevil 23 horse Honda and it runs and handles great. On my handheld gps I clocked it at 17 mph. Thats loaded with two grown men, 3 dozen decoys, 12 gallons of gas, a cooler, a dog and the other obvious hunting gear. |

I run a 23 LT on a 16 / 36 fiberglass (heavy). Had it to a best of 20 MPH on the GPS. Shallow water with just me, gas and battery. A LITTLE tippy at the dock but not bad under power. Sure is easy to hide them little boats in the grass, that is if you REALLY HUNT, not just ride around. |

I run a 23 on an all-welded 14x36 hull. I have had many rigs before this one including longtails an a pro-drive. This combo is the baddest sob i have ever ran. Cant hardly be stopped. Can be a little scary but I only hunt shallow water. I also was surprised at how well the boat handled it |
