6.5 H.P. LT boat options
Picked up a 6.5 LT GD, and looking at what size boats are these things capable of pushing in the marsh? Not looking to break speed records just need something small that I can pull on a trailer behind the 4 wheeler to hunt some ponds we picked up, with limited access. Have run these small motors in the crawfish pond, but never seen what they will do in the marsh. thanks for any input.

i would put it on a 14x32 or 36 if you are carrying a small load and not huntin out of it.

your not gonna break any speed records in any boat wid a 6.5. id go as small as possible. i got an 11hp on a 1436 and i get to missin my 11 ft boat when im running open water

Re: 6.5 H.P. LT boat options
dont short cut the boat. i had a 5.5 scavenger on a 14x32. it worked ok. then upgraded to a 14x48 riveted boat. it ran as good or better on the bigger boat. just remember its not going to go fast on any boat. you might as well get the best load and safety if your going slow. you will always need to carry more than you thought.

my 1436 boat is alot better than my old 1232. i think it was too much weight for the 1232
