Post grease cap problem
hey guys im new to the forum. I just bought a new 24 honda go devil and not having too good of luck so far. I went and bought my aqua lube grease and before i went to go run the motor i turned it on and started to pump grease in the shaft until the ring in the grease cup went to the top or near the top. Problem was the ring or piston was about a quarter from the bottom in the cup when i got it and as i continued to pump grease the ring started going up a little bit but grease built up above the ring and was being forced out the top down the sides under the cap. After it forces that grease out, the ring goes back down to where it started about a quarter of the way from the bottom? I want to take the cap off and just pull all that grease out on top of the ring and start over but not sure if i would mess something up? Has anyone ran across this problem? as well when i went to go test run it the throttle cable popped out of its place as i went to squeeze on the throttle. i think i probably squeezed too hard too quick but is there any other way besides being extremely careful so the cable doesn't pop out of place all the time? thanks for the help guys. other than these two things the motor ran great!

Its no problem taking the cap off the lubricator. I take mine apart and clean it every so often. As far as the cable goes, I don't undertstand if it come unclamped on top the motor or near the lever. I would take it off and soak it in some lube, put it back together, and try that.
