I started catfishing the Kansas river last summer with a Lowe 1440 and a 13hp Scavenger mud motor, the rig worked great for getting around but my girlfriend decided she likes setting lines to now, so we end up with 3 people more often than not. My boat then becomes very slow. I asked on the boat review forum what to get earlier as well if you have seen it. With 3 people and 300lbs of gear will I be able to get on plane and run with a longtail and if so what size and prop? Any help would be appreciated, I would like to upgrade in the next couple months.
