i have a 16hp longtail on a 14x4 weldbilt and it juss aint fast enough....wat should i switch to...i was thinkn a 16x3 skiff or something in that area |

You're going to find it hard to get more than 15 mph out of a 16, no matter what you put it on. |

yeah.. 15 mph is haulin some A$$ for a little 16hp motor no matter what ya put it on. If you wanna go faster buy a bigger motor.. |

i have a 12x36 with a 9hp on it but that transom is wayyy to weak to hold my 16 |

the cheapest thing to do is buy a used 25 hp motor and put it on ur frame. i got a 25 gdlt on a 14x44 and i have gotten it to 24 mph wit just me, battery and 6 gal gas |

just make sure the shaft is 1 1/8" o.d. , otherwise, you just replace the u-joint |
