Hello all, anyone have a nine horse go- devil? Wondering about the alternator it supposed to have? I love this motor it runs great and pushes my boat great! I have two headlights I only run when the motors running and the battery is now dead. If i run just the motor I can get it charged just enough to get one start out of the baterey. Are the headlights running to much voltage compared to what the motor can charge? That's what I'm thinking. Anyone else have one of these?

dude honda 9 hps have a 3 amp stator. and you have to be running at least 1500 rpm to charge. the formula for your amp draw is watts divided by volts equals amp draw. So 200 watt lights divided by 12v equals = 16.6 amps ect.
you need a bigger/new battery. what size battery you using?
