Try a bicycle brake lever and cable.

switched out the stock throttle lever and cable on my 31 hp LT GD. We got a throttle handle off of a tiller and it works great. You can get a new cable and everything else from a lawn-mower shop dirt cheap.

Clip the end off of the cable, slip it through the hole on carb throttle bracket and put a good crimp sleeve on it.

Ahh I see said the blind man... Thanks!

Is anyone willing to post up a picture of their bike throttle setup? Im curious too see how yall made it fit around the handle.

Autogateman..I searched and saw a picture of yours. Looks nice and clean! I have a clutch lever from my dirt bike I could possible modify. I just need a longer cable.

Clutch lever no good. The cable is too big. Just go buy a bike brake lever and be done with it.
