Shaft grease???
Hello all, My first post on this site!!!! I just bought a new 9hp Go-Devil longtail for my boat. I know where you all have to grease it and I know that there is a center bearing inside the shaft to reduce shaft whip. My Question is, The zerk on that bearing has a allen screw in it rather than a grease zerk? from the u-joint I have the pressure lubrictor, then the regular zerk, then the the one with the allen screw in it for the center bearing? Do I have to do anything with this???
Thanks!!

Re: Shaft grease???
The zerk in the center you are referring to should actually be a nut with a set screw in it to hold the center bushing in place. There is nothing to be done with this. Just lube the lube the regular zerk every eight hours of use and the other four, top bearing, u-joint, steering plate, and rocker shaft, every fourth time you grease the shaft.
