Post subject:  Fire problems?

I wasnt getting fire on the #1 cylinder so i changed the coil thinking it was thatan even changed the spark plug, but still nothing. Anyone know what else could it be?

Make sure it's not grounding out somewhere.

Have you pulled the spark plug out while in the boot, grounded it to the block and watched to see if it got spark when you crank it?

Yes I put the plug in the boot an checked for a spark but nothing, Now i did put hand on the plug also to make sure an i did fill a lil zap but could barely feel it.

Did the coil you get come as a complete assembly?

Your plug wire is in good shape? Check continuity on the wire to Verify its not broken inside the insulation.

I unplugged the diodes an still no fire on the #1 cylinder, No luck. Anything else, Maybe the magneto?

What you set the gap at? Should be .012

swap plug wires from one side to the other. if the problem switches sides, you've got a bad plug wire.
