I think you're doing this backwards - Run it then tell US how fast it went so we can all learn from your setup |

It will push that boat just fine. My best guess is 20ish light loaded, and 16-17 with 2 people and gear. |

If the WE hull has a high transom, like you stated, it won't be very fast if you are using a standard 72" shaft....if you intend to keep the boat/motor for some time you may opt to cut down the transom to 16" and get better performance. I run a 27 MB Kohler LT on a 1648 2004 Grizzly (.100 gauge) short transom hull. I get 19.7 by myself, 17.5 mph with two hunters and all the gear. |

If you're worried about speed you better run it before you buy it. I've owned a 9 hp, 18 hp and now have a 25 hp longtail, I didn't run any of these for SPEED but they got me where I needed to go. If you get 17 to 20 out of your boat solo you'll probably drop to 15 or less loaded. |

I run a Beavertail with 27 kohler on a 15'6" Gator Trax. With just me it's 21mph and loaded down with 2 guys & dog about 15. I'm sure a lighter hull would get 23-25 but that gator Trax hull is 375 lbs dry weight |

Im running a 23 on a G-3 1548..and getting 18.2 MPH solo light load little smaller boat little smaller motor. I imagine with the 27 and a bit bigger boat you should be getting in the same ball park. |
