So I changed my upper and lower seals and bottom bushing, went for a test run came home and I had blew my 2 lower seals. Never had this happen before. The shaft is stright, they had the recommended space in the bushing and I didn't over grease or hit anything. How can I prevent this or what went wrong?

Did you wrap the threads on the shaft before you put the seals on?

Grit and sand can get under the seals and actually wear the shaft down to where you dont have enough contact surface. check the shaft o.d.

If the lower bushing has the spiral groove on the inside the grease return slot on the out side of the bushing may be plugged. If it is plugged the most common cause is too much silicone sealant or a stray piece of thread tape. Plug the lube fitting with a 1/8 pipe plug and see if grease can be forced out the return slot.

i replaced the seals everything looked ok will run it tomorrow.
