i went and looked at boats yesterday the ALUMACRAFT 1236 and 1436...it seems like the 1436 is way to much boat for my 6.5 powerhorse longtail....can someone give me some insight....i would hate to get a 1436 and the motor not be able to push it. i don't care about pushing a top speed....i just wanna go whereever.

thanks

I would think the 12*36 would do just as good as the 14*36. I doubt you gonna get on plane with either boat using that motor. Traditionally a longer skinnier boat works best with LTs but I just think you hp is too small.
