u joint replacement
i need to find out where to find a u joint for my old long tail im not sure who manufactured it no tags, markings etc i need a new u joint bad and the local go devil rep is no help since i cant prove it is a go devil product Thanks gregg

Where ya from? If you're from the Lafayette area try Voorhies in New Iberia or try a Tractor Supply Warehouse.

look to see if theyrs a twist in the frame by the motor then it's a godevil. if not i have a ton of frame numbers you could use to get yourself a u joint direct from godevil

thanks there is no twist in frame i am going to take some pix tomorrow and post them for observation if i can. it just seems there should be able to find one that works in a driveline supplier or something thanks for all your help. gregg

its not complicated...place 1 side in the vice,tap the retaining rings out, grab a hammer and a railroad spike or something, and tap on top and bottom of each 1. i had to really put some ass into a few of them to get em out. take it to o'reilys, and they will match it out. the next size up is so much bigger, its not hard to figure out which 1 u need.
