Any size if you do not need to plane out. I have used a small LT on a 22x72 w/115 outboard as a kicker motor. Worked fine, that lil LT will push harder than you think. |

i ran a 6.5hp on a 14/36" , running solo with gear i could go about 10mph |

had a 8hp on a 12ft hull when i was younger. with just me in the boat it would get on plane, put an ice chest with you and u had to idle where u wanted to go. |

Speed doesn't bother me as long as it can move it lol. |
