Bought a MSR Hp AOF pro clutch lever at local motorcycle shop in town. 30$ with tax . Part number is 34-1686. The clutch lever mounts on a godevil handle with zero modifactions , remove cable , unscrew the two mounting bolts and take off stock throttle lever , discard , install new lever , orientate to your preference, the existing wire from your cable will mount right to internal channel in new lever , this system has a small adjustment wheel that will extend or retract to take all the play out of your cable , you can also adjust at idle by just making a few small clicks right there at the handle. I mounted mine in about the same location as the old throttle. What I really like is the instant throttle response. Did the whole swap in less than 20 minutes. Will see how it works this weekend . Anybody want pics pm |

Dealership is Conroe cycle shack on I-45 feeder in Conroe tx , they carry them in stock everyday . Looked around for a while and picked this one because it will fit on existing go devil frame and its heavy duty , hope this helps anybody |

I might add this to my GDLT! Looks clean. One question, wouldnt it work better on the other side of the handle? I'm pretty sure thats how most squeeze throttles are. To each his own though. |

Thought about that, this way I can still hold the handle with 4 fingers and just the throttle with my thumb, if I hit something( when I should say) I can just release my thumb and still control handle , |

What about turning to the right at a medium throttle? When ya push against the handle, seems like it would push the throttle in more. On squeeze throttle, I usually work it with my pinky finger so I can grip the handle firmly with three fingers and my thumb. But if it works for ya, then great! |

I am going to try it like this to start but , if it's uncomfortable then all I have to do is loosen the two carriage bolts and spin it around, well see . |

New throttle worked great , came in handy while maneuvering . In the mud just held it wide open. Wish there had been more longtails there , at Setx, only saw myself and two other boats. The conditions were great for sd on our fri afternoon run in both ponds, you could stop and go root it up anywhere. The wind and falling tide made the ponds hell if you lost plane by Saturday , and it kept falling, that's why everybody was stuck. But the longtail really shined on Saturday , you could go accross that skinny water and mudlike nobody's business , I could stop next to my buddies boats , visit a little while , take off and go play all over the back, pretty much anywhere. Thanks to the two airboat guys. , you really helped everbody out . |

hows the new throttle working out? I bought me one today. I will try it out this weekend. Mine is a 35 SD and I hope it works out good. Thanks for the post. I had been trying to go the free route and use and old hand brake off one of my kids old bicycles but the diameter was wrong on it. This should be alot better. |

Work on anything with a throttle As long as it will fit your shaft diameter |

Mine isn't nearly as pretty as what Huck did, but it took about the same amount of time and didn't cost as much. I use either galvanized steel or aluminum strap. It is much easier on my old arthritic hands and improves control. For those of you that question everything, the holes are to make it lighter |

I tried this on a stock GTR and this specific model huck used won't work. The cable isn't long enough to get all together correctly. It can be African engineered but even then it wasn't good. |

Agree with gameover , will work on swapping out existing go devil throttle and hard ware. But the throttle cable on the gt rig has a different set up at the throttle end . It was to wide to fit the inside diameter and slide thru the lever I used . |

Finn, I'll give you one off a old knuckle head frame I have and let you see if that will work. Call me and remind me before we ride next time. The cable hole is to large to work on the gdlt or my new motor |

You grind off the pinch style button that's on the original godevil throttle assembly. And it will fit perfect into the handle Huck used. I did his mod and it works great. I couldn't get quite enough throw so I moved the handle out some. This also allows you to make the diameter of the mount what ever you need |
