I looking at a used 23 GDLT not sure of the year but it is a couple years old and it has about 30 hours on it and is asking 2800 but said he would probably do 2600. I still thank that is kind of high being a new one is about 3500 but maybe I'm just being cheap. What do ya'll think is it a fair price at 2600 or not?

If I were gonna buy it I'd look somewhere between $2000-$2600. Depends on condition of parts and actual year/hours, maitenance, why hes selling it ect.

I'm no expert here, but when I was looking for one I saw a lot of them in the $1500-$2300 Range. I lucked out and paid $600 for mine because it had a horrible paint job that I guess scared everyone else away. Spent another $200 on bearings, seals and Ujoint. Look around, I bet you find a better deal.

10-4 on what Donkey and slim said. As much as autos and boats depreciate, the asking price is a bit high. If indeed the motor is that new, and all you're getting is the motor, I'd show up with 2K$ and that would be fair. Of course you should demand a quick perusal, start test. Good luck, the 23 is an excellent choice for an LT!

Overall condition is great. Low hours on everything and just had the bearings replaced last year been uses maybe a total of 20 times and about 30 hours. But my thing is that this ole boy wants $2,600 and a new one with the galvanized dipped is about $3,800 which I would rather the galvanized dipped frame.

If you are making a longer commitment, you should go ahead an invest in a new motor. I recommend BackH2O's 23 LT.

Reason I want the GD is because I live here in LA and it would be easier for parts and work that I couldn't handle.

Great motor but a little high. Mine is a couple years older and I paid $1500 which I thought was fair. I am in Nebraska so surely these motors are more plentiful where you are. If 2000 doesn't buy it I would keep looking. Make sure to check the bushings, prop, u-joint etc. Parts are cheap but do take a little time and energy if you do the work yourself.
