Post Go devil hates grass
Hey, Ive got a 16hp GDLT and whenever I take it through marsh grass the thing collects grass like thats its job. There seems to be a space right behind the prop before the shaft and this is where the problem starts as grass gets wound up there and then builds up. Does anyone know how to correct this?

There should be very little space between the nut in front of the prop and the bearing carrier at the end of the shaft housing. Mr. Warren showed me how to set the spacing by using one of the flat washers behind the prop nut as a spacer when installing your prop. The space should only be about 1/16 of an inch.

Grass will build up on the skeg of my 23 while running. Just pump the steering handle up and down several times and it will blow right off.

Hope this helps. ;)

Alright I'll check that out, Thanks! The guy who owned the motor before me replaced the prop and the rear seal so he put the prop back on, which means I'm not sure if it is in the right place or not. I'll check it tomorrow though cause if I go over one plant I catch the whole damn plant right in front of my prop and it really slows me down.
