The motor is a marshmonster Generac 30 hp, with head work and aftermarket carb put on it. The take is maxing out at right around 3200 RMP's when its wide open. That seems on the low side, and the motor does not sound like its running wide open. When the motor is out of the water, i can hit the rev limiter and its over 4000 RMP's. can anyone give me a idea on why is not getting that high of RMP's in the water?? |

What size prop? What size boat/load? also, how deep/ shallow are you running the prop. The closer to the surface, the better the rpms. For what its worth, I have a 27 btlt on a 1750 and now that my 9x7 prop has worn a little, I get 3400-3450 rpm in the water. Out of water, it bumps 4000 or so. |

The boat is a 16 48 riveted, its a light boat. The RMP's stay in the 3200 range with one guy, or 3 guys in the boat. The prop looks to be on the small size, and speaking with some people on it i have been told i could use a new prop. I run the motor as close to just under the water as i can. |
