I had a 1432 with a 13hp longtail last year, it worked good just don't overload it. I got 12-15mph out of it depending on the load. |

Boat came with a 6hp Johnson but has been parked in my garage since I got it. Wanted something for fishing out of. I'm very close to Kennedy space center and mosquito lagoon. I like the reliability and low maintenance of a mud motor.. |

Just be careful. That 32" bottom is pretty unstable I've done it with an 11 hp 11-12 mph with a load. But it was pretty scary. Bigger boat now with 13 and it's faster than that one. The ass end may ride kind of low because of the weight. That being said a buddy of mine used to hunt Rhett's island in GA on the coast with a 1432 and a 16 hp GD. Wear your kill cord. |

There's a guy local who runs a 1436 with a 16hp GD and it scoots! I wouldn't be scared of it. Just use your head. |
