The vertical travel adjustment on my 24 hp Honda beavertail longtail (the thing that screws in or out that adjusts how far down the shaft/prop can go in the water) tends to work itself loose during normal operation when there isn’t pressure on it. What can I do to keep it from working itself loose so that I don’t lose it? Thread tape? Thanks for any help. |

what i did with mine is skrew it all the way out and find a nut that will skrew on your stopper, then when you get your stopper where you want it you can run that nut down tight and that will hold it tight |

I thought about that after I posted this topic. That is exactly what I am going to do. Did you use a lock washer or just a nut? |

Why not run the nut all the way to the nob then put a sping on it to hold tension against it? |
